RDWC Wholesale Price List: A Buyer's Guide

RDWC Wholesale Price List: A Buyer's Guide

To read an RDWC wholesale price list professionally, check the price basis, exact system configuration, pricing unit, quantity tier and delivery scope before comparing totals. A low number is useful only when you know what it buys, which order it applies to and what you still need to pay.

For grow shops and hydroponic retailers, the decision also involves inventory exposure and the cost of serving customers. For commercial growers, the priority is equipment that fits the project and its delivered, installed budget. The same price list can support both buyers, but their calculations are different.

This guide uses BetiLife's four 7-Gallon Bucket RDWC systems to show how to interpret a list, compare quotations and move from a published reference to an order-specific price.

By BetiLife | Public product and price references checked October 8, 2026. Prices below are retail references, not wholesale offers or shipment-specific quotations.

1. Identify What Type of Price You Are Looking At

Retail, evaluation, wholesale and DDP do not describe the same thing. Retail and wholesale describe the commercial context; an evaluation order describes the purchase purpose; DDP describes delivery responsibilities. A single-system evaluation order or a wholesale inventory order can both be quoted on a DDP basis.

  • Published retail reference: the publicly displayed product price. It is not automatically a dealer cost, delivered price or achievable resale price.
  • Evaluation quotation: pricing for an agreed test or demonstration purchase. Any special conditions apply only as stated; do not assume they extend to future inventory orders.
  • Wholesale or dealer quotation: pricing for the specified quantity, configuration and purchasing arrangement. Confirm any eligibility and quantity requirements.
  • Delivery basis: DDP, FOB, CIF, EXW or another agreed term, with a named location. This determines which delivery costs and responsibilities the quoted amount covers.

Use a general RDWC wholesale price list to shortlist an order. Before purchasing, obtain a current written quotation or pro forma invoice identifying the exact goods, quantity, destination and applicable terms. Do not treat an undated spreadsheet as a standing commitment.

2. Confirm the Model, Configuration and Pricing Unit

RDWC means recirculating deep water culture. Multiple growing sites share a circulating nutrient solution, but the number of containers shown in a photo is not necessarily the number of planting sites. A separate reservoir or control container serves a different function.

BetiLife's BLGX-04, BLGX-06, BLGX-08 and BLGX-12 are listed as 4-, 6-, 8- and 12-site systems with an additional reservoir. The 7-Gallon / 27L designation is a nominal bucket-size description, not a 27-gallon bucket or a statement of the system's operating water volume.

Price-list fields to check before comparing RDWC quotations
Field How a professional buyer reads it
SKU and configuration Match the model, revision, planting-site count, reservoir and agreed options. Similar product names do not prove identical contents.
Unit of sale Confirm whether the price is per complete system, component, carton or pallet. Specify the quantity in the same unit.
Included equipment Check the bill of materials for buckets, lids, net pots, plumbing, circulation, aeration and any drip components. Identify exclusions.
Electrical version Confirm the supplied pumps' voltage, frequency and plug, and request any documentation your sales channel or installation requires.
Quantity basis Determine whether the tier applies per SKU, across an approved model mix or to a specific shipment.
Currency and price basis Identify the currency and whether the amount is a public reference, evaluation price or order-specific wholesale price.
Delivery scope Read the named location and Incoterms version alongside included transport, clearance and receiving services.
Validity and conditions Check the quote date, expiration, payment terms, availability, lead-time basis and any one-time charges.

One complete RDWC system is not the same as one carton or one grow bucket. It is also not a complete grow room. Lighting, environmental control, nutrient management equipment and other project items must be checked separately. For a deeper scope comparison, see complete RDWC systems versus DIY parts kits.

3. Read MOQ and Quantity Tiers Carefully

A quantity discount is meaningful only when you know which quantities qualify. MOQ means minimum order quantity, but it may refer to a model, an entire order or a customized configuration. These are different purchasing commitments.

Before applying a tier, ask:

  • Is the qualifying quantity counted per SKU or across an approved mixed-model order?
  • Does it apply to this purchase, a shipment release or a separately agreed purchasing commitment?
  • Are standard products and customized products subject to different requirements?
  • Does the quotation include the same delivery scope at each quantity?

Do not apply a larger tier based on purchases you might make later unless the supplier has agreed to that arrangement. Likewise, do not buy extra systems solely to reach a lower unit price. Compare the additional cash, storage space and likely time to sell the extra inventory.

BetiLife's current quantity requirements and mixed-model pricing should be confirmed in the quotation. This guide does not establish a universal MOQ or a published wholesale discount schedule.

4. Understand the Four BetiLife 7-Gallon Price Positions

The four-model lineup provides different planting-site counts within the same nominal bucket-size category. Use the public prices below to understand the product range, then request the commercial terms for your actual order.

Published retail references in USD, checked October 8, 2026 — not wholesale or delivered quotations
Model and configuration Retail reference Question to resolve before buying
BLGX-04
4 planting sites + 1 reservoir
$599 Does a four-site system match the customer's layout or your available demonstration space?
BLGX-06
6 planting sites + 1 reservoir
$799 Are you quoting one evaluation system, inventory or a defined six-site project?
BLGX-08
8 planting sites + 1 reservoir
$949 Does eight-site demand justify this model's inventory and display commitment?
BLGX-12
12 planting sites + 1 reservoir
$1,499 Does the buyer need twelve sites, and has the two-carton packing arrangement been allowed for?

These references are not MSRP guarantees, dealer buying prices or profit forecasts. Check the linked product pages for changes and the written quotation for applicable commercial pricing and shipping.

A lower price per planting site does not prove that a model will sell faster or earn more for a retailer. Nor does a higher site count prove it fits a grower's space. For model selection beyond price, read the 4-, 6-, 8- and 12-bucket RDWC comparison.

5. Check the Delivery Term Before Comparing Unit Prices

Compare quotations to the same destination and receiving scope. An EXW equipment price and a DDP delivered price are not comparable simply because they name the same model.

Under Incoterms® 2020, DDP places transport and import-clearance responsibilities, including applicable import duties and taxes, with the seller to the named destination. Delivery is on the arriving vehicle, ready for unloading. Confirm receiving arrangements rather than assuming unloading, inside delivery or installation is included. See the ICC Academy explanation of DDP.

BetiLife offers single-system and wholesale DDP quotations. Buyers with their own freight forwarders can also request suitable alternatives such as FOB, CIF or EXW. Those alternatives may reduce costs in some cases, but only a complete comparison can establish the saving.

Record the full term: DDP with the delivery address, FOB with the shipment port, CIF with the destination port, or EXW with the pickup location, plus the agreed Incoterms version. FOB and CIF are maritime terms, not generic labels for every shipment. For containerized or multimodal arrangements, ask whether FCA is a more appropriate basis; see the ICC Academy's FCA and FOB guidance.

For the delivery decision itself, use our separate guide: when a DDP quote for RDWC systems makes sense.

6. Turn the Price List Into a Comparable Order Cost

Start with the applicable unit prices, then reconcile the quotation's included and excluded costs:

  1. Calculate the line subtotal: quantity of each model multiplied by its applicable unit price, summed across the order.
  2. Build the supplier's order total: add separately quoted options, agreed one-time charges and delivery charges only where they are not already included.
  3. Normalize the delivery scope: add costs still payable by the buyer to reach the same agreed destination and receiving point.
  4. Separate downstream costs: keep retailer fulfillment and service costs, or grower installation and additional equipment, visible in the relevant business budget.

The U.S. International Trade Administration's landed-cost guidance includes product cost, transportation, insurance, duties, taxes and other applicable fees. Use this as a completeness check, not permission to add every category twice. If freight or duties are already included in the accepted DDP amount, do not duplicate them.

For a mixed-model shipment, allocate shared delivery charges using a reasonable basis supported by the freight quotation, such as packed volume or chargeable weight. An equal split per system can distort model-level costs when packing differs. A charge that is not shown is unknown until clarified, not automatically zero.

7. Work Through a BetiLife Mixed-Model Example

Suppose a retailer is considering two BLGX-06 systems and one BLGX-12 system. The following is a reading exercise, not a BetiLife quotation or recommended opening order. P06 and P12 represent the unit prices applicable to this specific order on the same delivery basis.

Example order: system quantities and price extensions
Model Complete systems Planting sites Line amount
BLGX-06 2 12 2 × P06
BLGX-12 1 12 1 × P12
Total 3 systems 24 sites 2 × P06 + P12

The order contains three complete systems and three reservoirs. It is not 24 systems, and its 24 planting sites do not automatically form one connected RDWC installation.

The BLGX-12 product page describes a two-carton shipment. Those cartons make up one system; they are not two billable systems. Confirm the complete order's packing list before booking freight or arranging receiving.

BetiLife BLGX-12 twelve-site 7-gallon RDWC system with a separate reservoir
The BLGX-12 is one complete system even when its components are packed in two cartons.

Before accepting the total, resolve four points:

  1. Do the two models qualify together for any quantity tier, or is each SKU priced separately?
  2. Do both unit prices cover the same agreed configuration and electrical requirements?
  3. Are delivery charges included in P06 and P12, or added separately once for the shipment?
  4. What additional charges, payment conditions, validity dates and delivery assumptions apply?

If P06 and P12 are delivered unit prices covering the entire agreed scope, their extensions already contain that delivery allocation. If they are equipment-only prices, the subtotal is not the delivered order total.

8. For Resellers, Separate Discount, Markup and Margin

A discount is not a profit margin. A discount measures a reduction from a stated reference price. Markup compares gross profit with cost; gross margin compares gross profit with sales. The Queensland Government's business finance glossary explains these distinctions.

Illustration only, not a BetiLife quote or earnings forecast: assume net sales of $1,000 and cost of goods sold of $700.

  • Gross profit: $1,000 minus $700 = $300.
  • Gross margin: $300 divided by $1,000 = 30%.
  • Markup on cost: $300 divided by $700 = approximately 42.9%.

Use consistently calculated cost of goods sold, including the appropriate allocated acquisition costs. Gross profit is not net profit: selling fees, fulfillment, support and overhead expenses not already included still affect the result. Do not treat sales tax collected for remittance as sales revenue or count an expense twice.

A commercial grower should instead assess the delivered equipment and installation budget. Dealer margin is not a useful measure for equipment purchased for internal use.

9. Check the Conditions That Make the Price Usable

A price is actionable only when its conditions are clear. Review these alongside the unit-price column:

  • Version and validity: quotation number, date, currency and expiration.
  • Payment: deposit, balance timing, payment method and agreed charges. A deposit is part of the purchase price, not an additional equipment cost.
  • Availability and schedule: distinguish stock availability, production lead time, dispatch and estimated transit. Ask what starts the lead-time clock.
  • Packing and documentation: cartons, dimensions, weights and any agreed shipping or product documents.
  • Customization: identify approved changes and any separate artwork, tooling, packaging or setup charges.
  • After-sales responsibilities: written coverage, claim procedure, replacement-part arrangements and responsibility for service freight.

A lower unit price can still require more upfront cash or a longer wait. Compare payment timing and expected inventory turnover as well as the final amount. Do not assume a supplier's transport arrangement also defines its warranty.

10. Common Mistakes When Reading an RDWC Wholesale Price List

  • Using retail as dealer cost: request the current commercial quotation instead.
  • Confusing buckets, systems and cartons: state the complete-system quantity explicitly.
  • Assuming mixed-SKU discounts: confirm how the quantity threshold is counted.
  • Comparing different configurations: reconcile the equipment list and electrical version first.
  • Treating missing charges as zero: ask whether they are included, excluded or not yet calculated.
  • Comparing different delivery endpoints: bring both quotations to the same receiving scope.
  • Calling retail price minus purchase price net profit: account for the relevant costs and distinguish gross from net.

For retailers, the broader goal is a product line customers can understand and your team can support. See how grow shops can add RDWC systems without competing only on price.

11. Questions to Ask Before Requesting Your Final Quote

If you already know the models and quantities, request that quotation directly. An evaluation purchase can help when you need to inspect a system, but it is not automatically a prerequisite for an inventory inquiry.

Use this request template, replacing the bracketed details:

Please quote [quantity] complete BLGX-[model] systems for [evaluation, resale inventory or project use]. Our company and sales channel are [details], and the destination is [full address or city, state and ZIP code for an initial estimate].

Please confirm the included components, electrical configuration, applicable quantity tier, whether mixed models qualify, and the delivery basis. Our preferred arrangement is [DDP or an alternative using our forwarder]. Receiving requirements are [commercial dock, liftgate or other details].

Please show the order total, any separately charged items, packing details, payment terms, estimated schedule, quote validity and after-sales terms.

If you are unsure which model fits, share your intended use, planting-site requirement and available space first. For retailers, also identify whether this is an existing RDWC category or a new addition to the store.

12. Frequently Asked Questions

Is an RDWC wholesale price normally per bucket or per system?

The unit must be stated in the price list. BetiLife's four models discussed here are complete-system configurations, not loose buckets. Ask the supplier to define exactly what one quoted set contains.

Are BetiLife's website prices wholesale prices?

The amounts in this guide are public retail references. Request a current wholesale or evaluation quotation for your configuration, quantity and delivery arrangement; do not calculate an assumed dealer discount from the website price.

Can an evaluation price be used for later inventory orders?

Only if the supplier confirms it applies. Evaluation pricing and inventory pricing may have different conditions. Obtain the applicable quotation for each purchase rather than carrying an earlier price forward automatically.

Can I combine 4-, 6-, 8- and 12-site systems to reach a quantity tier?

Ask whether the quoted tier applies per model or across an approved mixed order. Do not assume that different SKUs count together simply because they share the 7-gallon bucket-size category.

Does BetiLife offer DDP for one system as well as wholesale orders?

Yes. BetiLife offers single-system and wholesale DDP quotations, with the destination, configuration, delivery scope and applicable price confirmed for the order. Buyers with their own forwarders can request suitable alternative terms.

Why can two quotations for the same RDWC model differ?

Check quantity, included equipment, electrical configuration, customization, delivery scope, destination, payment conditions and quote validity. A matching model name alone does not establish a like-for-like offer.

Does a larger wholesale discount guarantee a better profit margin?

No. Discount is measured against a reference price; margin depends on actual sales and costs. Delivery, selling expenses, support requirements and unsold inventory can change the business result.
